  • Are there any hidden charges?
  • No. At Fords of Winsford we don't show one price and then charge another once you've decided to buy - all prices shown include any or all charges. There are no hidden "admin" fees, charges for re-valeting your car before collection or anything like that! Once you've agreed to buy a car from Fords of Winsford, the price you see is the price you pay. It's all part of our w.y.s.i.w.y.g (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) price promise.


  • Can I view more than one car at a time?
  • Yes. Fords of Winsford is the largest car supermarket in the North West. We have over 1100 cars on site at any one time - all of which are available to be viewed and they are all in one place. You can request a number of keys and sit in and try out any number of cars with absolutely no obligation.


  • I've seen a car I like - how do I get in touch?
  • You can contact us in a number of diferent ways. The easiest way is to call on 0844 247 2405 and speak to one of our dedicated team between 9am and 6pm. You can also email info@fow.co.uk.

  • Can I test drive a car before committing?
  • Yes. We don't limit the number of test drives you can take, nor charge for them, or require you to pay a deposit. You can take any of our cars that have been prepared for sale for a test drive along a pre-determined route. This incorporates town roads as well as dual carriageways, allowing you to get a feel for the car in all traffic situations.


  • Can I part exchange my current vehicle against a new one?
  • Yes. You can part exchange your vehicle against any of our stock items. It doesn't matter what age your current car is or the condition its in. Even if it hasn't got an MOT, we can still offer a price against it and we can take more than one car in part exchange against our own. Obviously the better/newer your part exchange, the better its value will be. And if your car is worth more than the one you're buying, you'll receive a car and a cheque. How good is that!


  • What if I still have finance outstanding on my car?
  • No problem. We will take care of settling (paying) any balance on your current vehicle so that it can be accepted as a part exchange for any of our stock vehicles. Usually its just a matter of adding the outstanding balance to your new finance and of course deducting what we give you for your car.


  • How do I go about paying for my car?
  • You can pay using debit card, credit card (charges apply) or electronic transfer. Also Building Society cheque. Please note we cannot accept more than £250 in cash or personal cheques. Increasingly our customers are choosing to pay using our low rate finance. Finance quotes are given with each car on this website.   • What if I have a private number plate on my existing car that I would like to keep?
  • You will be asked to put the registration on retention until after you have taken possession of your new car. To do this you will need to take all the paperwork that relates to your existing car to your local DVLA office where it will be forwarded to DVLA Swansea. By return you should receive:
    • V948 number plate authorisation certificate
    • V20 MOT certificate (if applicable) in new registration
    • V803 process summary
    • Replacement tax disc with new registration
    The new V5 for your existing car will be posted to you by DVLA in the weeks that follow and it is for this reason we require a separate charge of 250.00 at point of sale. This will be refunded to you when we have received the V5 from you. We recommend you send it to us using registered post.

  • Can I buy a car over the phone?
  • Yes, and because our best bargains are snapped up quickly, more people are choosing this method! Should you wish to buy simply call 0844 247 2405 and we will take a £250 deposit from you. This is obviously deducted from the balance which is payable when you collect the car. Our helpful telesales team will also be able to tell you everything about the car in terms of its service history, specification etc. Once you have paid the deposit you will be booked in to collect in 4/5 days time , vehicle delivery is no problem but charges do apply. You will also be posted the V5 and MOT (if appropriate) so you can tax the car before you come to collect.

  • Do you offer any peace of mind aftersales support?
  • Yes. We pride ourselves in our customer care. We don't use faceless call centres and in the unlikely event you should have any vehicle issues, Brian and Lee in our Aftersales Department are on hand to offer help and assistance. We have a fleet of courtesy cars should you require one, subject to availability.
