30th January 1920, the date Mazda was born. Mazda’s road to success began with the manufacturing of machine tools, it wasn’t until 1931 however that focus shifted to vehicle production with a brief stint and requirement to produce weapons for the Japanese military during World War II.
Fast forward to 1960 and Mazdas focus switched once again to vehicle production with the launch of the rear engined R360, Mazda’s passion however lies with their engineering and pursuit for creative technology with the innovative rotary and ‘SkyActiv’ engines. Today Mazda have signed a long term partnership with Toyota to collaborate resources for an exciting and ‘green’ future.
