What's covered on my RAC EV warranty?
With fantastic coverage for your new EV or PHEV, an RAC extended warranty from FOW represents great value. If your claim is valid, repair costs are handled directly with the repair - parts, labour and VAT.
And, with our EV cover, you’re protected up to £90 an hour inc VAT towards labour and £90 inc VAT towards diagnostics. If your EV needs to be recovered, then you can take advantage of our complimentary RAC Breakdown Cover that’s included as standard (roadside, recovery, at home and onward travel).

Naturally, exclusions apply. It’s important to maintain your new electric or hybrid vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer’s schedule. This ensures you comply with the warranty terms and conditions.

Do I need to service my car?
Yes, it’s important to make sure you service the vehicle in accordance to the manufacturers schedule. Even though EV’s don’t require oil changes, serviceable items, such as brake discs, pads and fluids, air conditioning, cabin filters and tyres are regularly inspected and replaced or serviced as necessary.
If your new car is a hybrid, the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) will require regular servicing alongside the above components.

How do I pay for my warranty?
We’ll take payment on your collection day, or before delivery if you choose our delivery option.
You can:

- Spread your payments over 10 months interest-free
- Include the warranty with any applicable finance package

How do I transfer my RAC warranty to a new owner
In some circumstances, transferring this policy to a new owner (not a new vehicle) is possible. This will be subject to standard transfer conditions and fees. You can start this process by calling 0330 100 3728.
RAC Extended Warranty Terms and Conditions
The Maintenance and Repair Plan (the Plan) provides a Maintenance Inspection at the start of each one year period that the Plan lasts, plus connected Maintenance to your Battery Electric or Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicle. Full detail is set out in section 6: Our responsibilities under the Plan. The Periodic Maintenance Inspection must be carried out before our Maintenance and other obligations apply for the year in question. The Plan is designed to provide cover for the sudden or unforeseen failure of mechanical and electrical components on the vehicle, including those which have reached the end of their working life through wear and tear. There are some components and parts which are excluded from the cover and these are all listed in schedule 3 of this document.
