The Buying Process


We do things differently here at Fords of Winsford; openly and honestly.

The company was started in 1959 by Vernon Ford in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, working from home. His aim was to sell great cars at prices considerably below main dealers’,
in a pressure-free environment. Our aim remains the same.

The steps outlined below will give you an idea of what to expect from a visit:
one
 Visit Reception and pick up a stock list.
Reception is located in the main building. Free stock lists are found just inside the main entrance. All of our main reception staff are F.S.A Authorised, and can advise on any aspect of the business.

 Choose the cars that are of interest and book-out the keys.
Select the cars you wish to view from the stocklist and request the keys. This can be done from the key desk at the top of the showroom. [Please turn left through the main showroom doors].

 View your chosen vehicles at your leisure.
If you require assistance from a sales consultant, please ask when booking out the keys. If you are unable to locate a car, please ask at main reception - we will be more than happy to find the vehicle for you.

 Discuss purchase options.
Obtain a part exchange valuation on your current vehicle, then once we have identified your funding requirements, we can find the best solution to suit your personal situation. To proceed with a purchase we require a £250.00 deposit.

 Choose the vehicle you would like to purchase.
We would be more than happy to arrange a test drive in the vehicle you are looking to purchase, please retain the ignition key for the car you wish to testdrive, so you have first refusal on the vehicle. Note: Their are child height and age restrictions on all test drives.

P.S. don't forget to bring your DRIVING LICENCE (which must match your home address), if you want to Test Drive a vehicle!

It is with regret that, due to government age and height restrictions for restrained safety, we are unable to allow ANY CHILD less than 12 years old and under the height of 135cms in the vehicle during the test drive. Please call for further details
